TrolleyUp Terms of Service
Version 2, 16 October 2026
What TrolleyUp is for
Shared shopping lists for food, household goods, pharmacy items and other reasonable everyday items.
Not allowed
Illegal items or services, for example drugs, stolen or fake goods, or illegal weapons.
Anything harmful, harassing or offensive, including offensive names.
Using lists to chat, sell or advertise.
Your account
You need an account (Google, or email and password) and an @username. Your @username is shown to the people on your lists. You can't change it yourself; the TrolleyUp team can, for example if a name is offensive.
Reserved names (such as admin or info) are only given out by the TrolleyUp team. Offensive usernames are not allowed.
Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
Removing accounts
The TrolleyUp team may suspend or remove anyone suspected of using TrolleyUp for anything other than shopping, or of breaking these rules, with or without notice.
Reports
Anyone on a list can report the list or a person on it. Reports go only to the TrolleyUp team.
The TrolleyUp team never reads your lists. A report contains only what the person reporting writes, and the team decides from that.
No guarantees
TrolleyUp is free and provided as it is. Prices, stock and what other people buy are up to them and the stores. The TrolleyUp owner is not responsible for purchases, payments or arrangements between people on a list.
Changes and law
If these terms change, the app asks everyone to agree again. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
